Radiation has a Negative Effect on Your Health
Non-ionizing radiation is used for mobile phones or wireless internet. It has now been scientifically established that radiation may affect health. The discussion is “only” about how much radiation a person can tolerate.
Most European countries use Guidelines for maximum acceptable exposure to radiation. These values may differ greatly from country to country. Whilst in the Netherlands the government believes the amount of radiation is considered safe, in Russia that same exposure is considered a health risk. Russia uses much stricter exposure limits. Russian scientists wrote in the 60s already about radiation sickness. Perhaps this knowledge led to a much lower exposure limit. Also in the Austrian Province Salzburg, the maximum exposure limits are thousands times more stringent than those in the Netherlands. See info about literature on radiation and health.
Thousands of Radiation Studies
There are thousands (!) of scientific studies showing that radiation has a negative effect on your health when people are exposed to lower levels of radiation. Examples of some leading studies are:
- Wireless Technology Research LLC: Yahoo link between cell phone radiation and genetic damage, increased risk of cancer and increased mortality risk for brain tumors.
- REFLEX (2003) study commissioned by European Union average radiation of a mobile phone can damage DNA.
- BioInitiative: research to over 2000 scientific studies, the safety limits are sometimes thousands of times too high.
- Interphone 2010: a link between mobile phones and brain tumors. The research leader Professor E. Cardis is concerned even if the investigation is not very hard to demonstrate causality.
See the Floww website for research and links.
On top of the many scientific studies there are more and more doctors reporting an increase in specific radiation symptoms after the arrival of a base station (UMTSmast), a wireless home phone, or mobile phone use. More than 1000 German doctors and professors united in the Freiburger Appeal in 2002 (!) are mentioning symptoms such as (chronic) fatigue, headaches, concentration problems, behavioral disorders and stress as a result of radiation.
