Soffos keeps an eye on our users
Research bureau analyses hundreds of questionnaires
Scientific research is a priority issue at Floww International. One side of this research focuses on showing how Floww products actually work, whilst on the other side the well-being of Floww users is closely monitored. This second process involves validated questionnaires that are assembled by research bureau Soffos, based in Rije in The Netherlands. Soffos is specialised in measuring the effectivity of (medical) treatments based on the answering of questions.
In this ongoing investigation, users describe their impressions and experiences without any involvement from Floww itself. For this, the internationally-validated SF-36 questionnaire is used, each user fills in the list twice – with a 4-month pause in between. This method, as used by Soffos , is also applied in standard medical care to measure a patient’s quality of life.
In the questionnaires, a variety of aspects of health and wellbeing are checked: physical functioning, vitality, health changes, social interaction, emotional state, general condition, mental health and freedom from pain. The most recent investigation, in which 221 users participated, was published in July this year. A full presentation of the research to date can be downloaded here.
